What motivated you to enter AccelerateHER 2016?
I wanted to gain some more exposure for Vivomotion and I was also encouraged by Jackie Waring as I had met her at various Investing Her events.
What challenges were you facing at the time in your business?
The challenges I was facing were balancing running a business with having young twins to look after.
What have been the main benefits to you by entering the competition and how has your business progressed since?
It was good to get feedback from the judges and learn about what sort of businesses they were looking to support. Since entering the competition I have learned a great deal about my business and I am continually assessing progress and how to perhaps change my business model in order to grow/scale. I think you can also learn a lot from the other contestants, and also gain inspiration from other female business owners. I was certainly inspired by the other stories I heard during the competition process.
I have since entered other business competitions and Accelerate Her gave me experience in this arena.
What piece of advice would you give to other growth aspiring entrepreneurs in Scotland?
