The AccelerateHER Awards are designed to inspire and support more women-led companies to set up and go for growth; access significant support and networks and give those who enter as much exposure as possible for their businesses. This has already resulted in significant investment and many other tangible business benefits for competitors. We want as many women to enter as possible because as soon as you contact us you can start accessing opportunities; whether or not you’re a winner:
We want to help our AccelerateHER entrepreneurs keep developing their entrepreneurial skills: accessing pitch training, support to keep developing their ideas and sharpen their business proposition, coaching and one-to-one mentoring. And you do not need to be winner to access this help.
For the winners, there will be both prizes (more detail to follow) and benefits in kind. Winners will also be presented at our Ambition & Growth AccelerateHER Awards Dinner on 8th March 2018 in Edinburgh. This will be a very high profile event with a ‘celebrity’ speaker presenting the winners and significant media interest / presence.
The Awards have attracted nearly 300 participants to date; with 680 people over the past 2 years having taken part in the Conference and come to see the AccelerateHER winners presented at the Awards Dinner. Many of our winners have gone on to secure investment and take their ideas to the next level.
At Investing Women we partner and collaborate with many other organisations supporting enterprise including (amongst others) ScotCanDo, Scottish Enterprise and Highlands & Islands Enterprise, Girl Geeks Scotland, Linc Scotland, Entrepreneurial Scotland, Enterprise Campus, Converge Challenge, Innovate UK and many more to ensure our alumni get access to ongoing opportunities such as networking events and access to a large pool of experts and opportunities to commercialise their work. We will shortly be announcing the significant private sector partners and sponsors who will also be offering specialist support to AccelerateHER entrepreneurs.
